Menlo CA junior Charlotte Tomkinson won the elite section of the girls 800 meters at the 12th Dublin Distance Fiesta at Dublin High. Tomkinson ran 2:10.61, just 0.03 off her personal best from last year's state final, when she placed sixth in 2:10.58. Tomkinson's effort was a state-leading mark and No. 4 in the country this season, securing her berth to compete April 5-6 at the Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High.
