Oregon Track Club Elite’s professional runner Chanelle Price and standout high school rising senior Juliette Whittaker from Mount De Sales Academy in Maryland talk about the upcoming 800-meter competition at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore. In 2008, Price was a senior from Easton High in Pennsylvania and qualified for the U.S. Trials in the 800. Whittaker is one of three current high school females to have qualified for the event, which is slated for the first round on Thursday, June 24. Roisin Willis of Stevens Point High in Wisconsin and Sophia Gorriaran of Moses Brown High in Rhode Island are prep athletes also scheduled to compete.
