Anna Hall, a first-year adidas professional athlete, won the women's 400-meter crown in a lifetime-best 51.03 seconds at the USATF Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Hall became the first female athlete in American indoor history to capture the pentathlon championship and secure a running event title the same year. Erica Bougard won both the pentathlon and the long jump championships in 2017, also in Albuquerque.
